Environment

In terms of corporate citizenship, Tendances Concept has reaffirmed its position as leader in the kitchen cabinet and fittings, bathroom and storage units industry by deploying a series of environmental responsibility measures.

Purchasing

Our customers can demand that we use raw materials from suppliers who comply with the strictest standards such as EPP and CARB. They can also require that their products be made from wood that is certified FSC by the Forest Stewardship Council, an international organization whose aim is to promote responsible management of the world’s forests, encouraging practices such as selective tree felling. We can provide a price structure to reflect special requirements like these. On the whole, we require our suppliers to show that they implement initiatives to promote sustainable development.

Lean manufacturing

Our ultra-modern plants at St-Jérôme and Berthierville are managed to promote quality of life for our employees and respect for the environment. To this end we have also introduced lean production methods, a philosophy that recommends eliminating waste, whether in terms of material, time, effort or energy.

And when we cannot reduce waste at source, we promote recycling of, for example, unused materials and packing boxes from our suppliers, which are processed by an external provider in an environmentally responsible way.
